Are you stuck on Excel or Google Sheets?

In my spreadsheet I have a list of people. In column A I have got their name, in column B the society they work for, in column C how many times they held a positionX, in column D how many times they held a positionY, in column E how many times they held a positionZ. Not all of them held a position X, Y or Z. They could have held one of them, two of them, all of them or none. I need to know how many of them held a position (no matter which one, how many times or how many of them), divided by society. Is that possible?

I am working on scheduling rotation for a residency program. Lets say I have column â??Bâ?? titled July which has names of the rotations such as â??Cardiologyâ?, â??Nephrologyâ?, â??Floorsâ?, â??Vacationâ? etc. I have rows 1 to 65 with names of people. I want to know in a different cell who is on cardiology in July and the formula should pull in all the names. How can I do this?

I need help with sorting in Excel. I created a sheet where we have listed names in the first column and then info pertaining to them in the columns to the right of that. The names aren't on each row as we have to have blank lines below the name because the info to the right of the name is long. so when we go to sort from a to z so that the names will be in order alphabetically, the info to the right of the names doesn't follow. I have in the past used a function in Excel to create a To Do list and once you enter a date in the completed column, the entire row drops to the bottom of the list as it has been completed. The item is therefore not deleted from the list but simply goes to the bottom. Cant find anywhere how to use this function or what it is called.
