Let me ask you a couple of quick questions to make sure I fully understand your problem.
Excelchat Expert 13/10/2018 - 10:12
May you please share the data you have so I can help you with your concern? You can also paste a sample data on the document preview pane.
User 13/10/2018 - 10:12
sure
User 13/10/2018 - 10:13
ok done
Excelchat Expert 13/10/2018 - 10:14
Based on what you've shared, you need help in creating a pivot table from what your data looks like to a specific view shown on the preview pane. Do you believe that will address your problem?
User 13/10/2018 - 10:15
yeah
Excelchat Expert 13/10/2018 - 10:15
Ok I'm going to create the pivot table needed to get the output you want. This should take me less than 20 minutes. If we need more than 20 minutes, you'll be able to extend the session up to 60 total minutes.
User 13/10/2018 - 10:15
ok
Excelchat Expert 13/10/2018 - 10:15
I'll be working in the shared spreadsheet. When our session is over you'll be able to access the solution in your session history by downloading the Excel File.
User 13/10/2018 - 10:15
ok
User 13/10/2018 - 10:15
i just got an issue that said unable to load file
User 13/10/2018 - 10:15
is that fine?
User 13/10/2018 - 10:16
ok i'm back in the file
Excelchat Expert 13/10/2018 - 10:16
I see, maybe the file is just loading.
Excelchat Expert 13/10/2018 - 10:16
I’m working on your solution. But don’t worry, I’ll be updating you throughout!
User 13/10/2018 - 10:16
ok
Excelchat Expert 13/10/2018 - 10:16
Are you using excel for your file?
User 13/10/2018 - 10:17
yes
Excelchat Expert 13/10/2018 - 10:19
Ok I'll work on this in excel instead since google sheet pivot table is a bit different and I can't do the output you need. I will send you the excel file once I'm done
User 13/10/2018 - 10:19
ok
User 13/10/2018 - 10:19
thanks
Excelchat Expert 13/10/2018 - 10:23
Here's the file with the pivot table

Excelchat Expert 13/10/2018 - 10:23
Does this solution solve your problem?
User 13/10/2018 - 10:23
yes but I have a ton ofe events
User 13/10/2018 - 10:24
i don't want to drag them all into the values column one by one
User 13/10/2018 - 10:24
how can I speed that up?
Excelchat Expert 13/10/2018 - 10:27
Oh I see, but that's the limitation we have for the pivot table with the kind of data you have. Maybe you will need to have the workaround on your original data first to change how it currently looks like so it would be easier to attain the final output you need.
Excelchat Expert 13/10/2018 - 10:28
If you can share your data, we may be able to think of a solution on how we will do that
User 13/10/2018 - 10:28
hmm ok
User 13/10/2018 - 10:29
i guess time is running short so I will just drag all of them down
Excelchat Expert 13/10/2018 - 10:29
You can click them one by one on the pivot fields instead of dragging them one by one
User 13/10/2018 - 10:30
oh ok
Excelchat Expert 13/10/2018 - 10:30
then once everyone is checked, then you can drag the values to rows
Excelchat Expert 13/10/2018 - 10:30
To show it under the name
Excelchat Expert 13/10/2018 - 10:30
Do you have any other questions about this problem and the solution?
User 13/10/2018 - 10:31
nope, thank you very much
