Excelchat Expert 06/09/2018 - 12:51
In which places do you want to do that?
Excelchat Expert 06/09/2018 - 12:51
Or you just want to learn how to do that in general?
User 06/09/2018 - 12:51
in general
Excelchat Expert 06/09/2018 - 12:51
Can you see the sheet near the chat?
User 06/09/2018 - 12:52
no
Excelchat Expert 06/09/2018 - 12:52
Probably something is blocking it.. Have you worked with Excel before?
User 06/09/2018 - 12:52
yes
User 06/09/2018 - 12:53
can you tell me the steps
Excelchat Expert 06/09/2018 - 12:53
Okay, can you open Excel file first?
User 06/09/2018 - 12:53
yes
Excelchat Expert 06/09/2018 - 12:53
On Sheet1 in A1, please enter any text or number
Excelchat Expert 06/09/2018 - 12:54
Done?
User 06/09/2018 - 12:54
done
Excelchat Expert 06/09/2018 - 12:54
Now open Sheet2
User 06/09/2018 - 12:54
ok
Excelchat Expert 06/09/2018 - 12:54
And activate A1 on it
Excelchat Expert 06/09/2018 - 12:54
Press the = symbol on your keyboard
Excelchat Expert 06/09/2018 - 12:55
Now left click on Sheet1
Excelchat Expert 06/09/2018 - 12:55
And then on A1
Excelchat Expert 06/09/2018 - 12:55
And hit the enter button
Excelchat Expert 06/09/2018 - 12:55
You should get a formula like this:
Excelchat Expert 06/09/2018 - 12:55
=Sheet1!A1
Excelchat Expert 06/09/2018 - 12:56
Instead of clicking with a mouse it is possible just to type the address in the formula bar, but with mouse it is more practical in most cases, because we usually need to see the sheet to pick the proper cells
Excelchat Expert 06/09/2018 - 12:56
