User 23/08/2018 - 06:02

Excelchat Expert 23/08/2018 - 06:02
Will you provide the data where you need the solution?
User 23/08/2018 - 06:03
I can give a sample if required
Excelchat Expert 23/08/2018 - 06:03
Yes please, I believe it will be easier for you to implement to the whole file if solution will be based on your sample
User 23/08/2018 - 06:04
that might take little time
User 23/08/2018 - 06:05
if you share a shortcut that will be great
User 23/08/2018 - 06:05
I have annual salaries and I need to convert it to month...an entire column
Excelchat Expert 23/08/2018 - 06:05
Do you want the final result to appear in the same column?
Excelchat Expert 23/08/2018 - 06:05
Just to replace it with monthly?
User 23/08/2018 - 06:06
no..right next to it
Excelchat Expert 23/08/2018 - 06:06
Okay
User 23/08/2018 - 06:06
annual on one column and monthly on the next column
Excelchat Expert 23/08/2018 - 06:07
Here is the formula for this case
Excelchat Expert 23/08/2018 - 06:08
=if(A2="","",A2/12)
Excelchat Expert 23/08/2018 - 06:08
We check if there is a number in the annual salary column. If no, we write nothing, if yes, we write the monthly salar
User 23/08/2018 - 06:09
do I have to use these formulaes?any shortcuts?
Excelchat Expert 23/08/2018 - 06:09
If you want to have the result in the next column, yes, you will have to put this formula
User 23/08/2018 - 06:10
ok thank you so much
Excelchat Expert 23/08/2018 - 06:10
you are welcome
Excelchat Expert 23/08/2018 - 06:10
When you put the formula in B2 (for example)
Excelchat Expert 23/08/2018 - 06:10
Then simply extend it down the column
Excelchat Expert 23/08/2018 - 06:10
As you can see, the whole column B is with the formula
Excelchat Expert 23/08/2018 - 06:10
But it shows the result only if there is a value in column A
User 23/08/2018 - 06:10
oh great
User 23/08/2018 - 06:11
I will try this shortly
Excelchat Expert 23/08/2018 - 06:11
To save the file, please press File -> Download as -> xlsx
User 23/08/2018 - 06:11
ok thanks again
Excelchat Expert 23/08/2018 - 06:11
You are welcome
Excelchat Expert 23/08/2018 - 06:11
Wish you a great day!
User 23/08/2018 - 06:11
