Excelchat Expert 08/08/2018 - 07:23
yes
User 08/08/2018 - 07:24
Obviously the answer is 30 for C1 and C2 but i need a formula so when the lines are sorted differently i still have that number
Excelchat Expert 08/08/2018 - 07:25
You can get the total using the sumif formula
User 08/08/2018 - 07:26
can you show me
Excelchat Expert 08/08/2018 - 07:28
the total is at col C
User 08/08/2018 - 07:30
i tried on a simple spreadsheet and it's not working
User 08/08/2018 - 07:30
also, will i have to write in the formula every single option?
Excelchat Expert 08/08/2018 - 07:32
Just insert the formula at the first cell and drag down.
User 08/08/2018 - 07:33
=SUMIF($A$6:$A$126,A1,$B$6:$B$126)
User 08/08/2018 - 07:34
mine comes up 0 every time
Excelchat Expert 08/08/2018 - 07:34
At which cell you insert this formula ???
User 08/08/2018 - 07:36
i put it in c6
Excelchat Expert 08/08/2018 - 07:36
Why you insert A1 at the formula
Excelchat Expert 08/08/2018 - 07:37
insert A6
Excelchat Expert 08/08/2018 - 07:37
Or you want the criteria form A1
User 08/08/2018 - 07:41
so i will need to list every option in column a with the total lines. is this correct?
Excelchat Expert 08/08/2018 - 07:43
Can you attach your sheet again or copy and paste it at the view.
User 08/08/2018 - 07:44
