Hi there!
User 23/07/2018 - 03:20
Hi
Excelchat Expert 23/07/2018 - 03:21
You have described your desired formula perfectly. I can make an example in the google sheet if you'd like? ----------->
User 23/07/2018 - 03:21
Yes please, will this be the sam efor excel
Excelchat Expert 23/07/2018 - 03:21
Absolutely.
User 23/07/2018 - 03:21
cool
Excelchat Expert 23/07/2018 - 03:22
You might have to change around the cell references depending on how your file is set up.. I could make the formula directly on your file if that is better for you?
User 23/07/2018 - 03:22
no that's fine its more the formula I need
Excelchat Expert 23/07/2018 - 03:22
Ok fantastic
Excelchat Expert 23/07/2018 - 03:23
One other question - what do you want the formula to output if the recieved qty is NOT + or - 20%?
Excelchat Expert 23/07/2018 - 03:23
a blank?
User 23/07/2018 - 03:24
if it is lower than -20% it needs to "No" higher "approve"
User 23/07/2018 - 03:25
anywhere inbetween 2Yes"
User 23/07/2018 - 03:25
"Yes"
Excelchat Expert 23/07/2018 - 03:26
So like this: < -20% = NO
Excelchat Expert 23/07/2018 - 03:26
> 20% = Approve
Excelchat Expert 23/07/2018 - 03:26
and between -20% and 20% = "Yes"
User 23/07/2018 - 03:26
Perfect
Excelchat Expert 23/07/2018 - 03:26
Ok great! One second I will get this formula for you.
Excelchat Expert 23/07/2018 - 03:30
Ok the formula is in the green cell in the google sheet - also here:
Excelchat Expert 23/07/2018 - 03:30
=if(C3<(B3*0.8),"No",if(C3>(B3*1.2),"Approve","Yes"))
Excelchat Expert 23/07/2018 - 03:30
Let me know if it works on your file! Remember you might have to change the C3 and B3 to whatever your file has set up for those qty ordered and qty recieved cells.
User 23/07/2018 - 03:31
Just checking now, but looks good
Excelchat Expert 23/07/2018 - 03:31
Sure take your time
User 23/07/2018 - 03:32
