A 01/01/2000 FCA ?
B 01/01/2000 FOB ?
C 01/01/2000 DAP ?

Actually what you wrote in the description is kind of got jumbled at the end and it is hard to understand.

Ok, the main issue I have is I don't want to make a separate table, I wish to insert the required values to add to the date in the formula - as there will only be 3 different text values in the other column

let me try to explain on preview window

I will show in the C column what the answer should be but I need a formula to populate this automatically depending on what is entered into column B

Just so you know, when you input dates in excel cell, excel automatically reads the dates as Months/Days/Year format.
User

Yeah sorry, to be fair in my sheet I will show it as this...
Excelchat Expert
31/05/2018 - 04:16
So, when you wrote 01/01/2000, excel reads it as 1 January 2000

Do you not have to put 'DAP' in the formula anywhere for if I put DAP into a cell? or does it automatically put 21 in for anything that is not 'FCA' or 'FOB'?
Excelchat Expert
31/05/2018 - 04:20
Yeah, you are correct, if automatically put 21 that is not FCA or FOB
