i want to sum columns c thru k into column l in first line then automatically sum successive columns and lines in columns c thru k as numbers are added so that column l shows running total automatically.

yes and then input numbers to successive lines and get a total automatically in line L

I used a IF function to check if column C of that line has value. If it has value, then L is sumed, otherwise, L3 is blank
