Do you have an example of what you need?
User
22/03/2018 - 06:51
i need to assign projects to certain people
User
22/03/2018 - 06:51
so the table would be names down one side and the projects going across
Excelchat Expert
22/03/2018 - 06:51
ok
User
22/03/2018 - 06:52
and i would write the name of whoever is doing that project in the spaces
User
22/03/2018 - 06:52
there are several projects going across (p1 p2 p3 etc)
User
22/03/2018 - 06:52
so the table has four columns
Excelchat Expert
22/03/2018 - 06:53

User

Excelchat Expert
22/03/2018 - 06:54
ok
User
22/03/2018 - 06:54
basically if a person is part of one project i dont want them to be a part of another
User
22/03/2018 - 06:54
imagine this on a much larger scale, how can ensure this?
Excelchat Expert
22/03/2018 - 06:54
they can do just one project per time?
User
22/03/2018 - 06:54
yes
User
22/03/2018 - 06:55
is there any formula suitable?
Excelchat Expert
22/03/2018 - 06:55

Excelchat Expert
22/03/2018 - 06:55

Excelchat Expert
22/03/2018 - 06:56

you want to highlight the name when there are more than 2 projects to this person?
User
22/03/2018 - 06:57
no , when making the table i want to make sure i do not assign more than one task per person
User
22/03/2018 - 06:58
so in a row with ana's name for example. there should only be one cross
Excelchat Expert
22/03/2018 - 06:58
and if you assign more than one task? what should happen in tha table?
User
22/03/2018 - 06:59
there should be a warning or pop up
Excelchat Expert
22/03/2018 - 06:59
as in Maria
User
22/03/2018 - 06:59
when entering the second x
Excelchat Expert
22/03/2018 - 06:59
Can't we highlight the row?
User
22/03/2018 - 06:59
a warning should say it is not possible
Excelchat Expert
22/03/2018 - 06:59
Excel doesn't have pop up message
User
22/03/2018 - 07:00

Excelchat Expert
22/03/2018 - 07:00

Excelchat Expert
22/03/2018 - 07:03

User

Excelchat Expert
22/03/2018 - 07:04
Cant be a color message?
Excelchat Expert
22/03/2018 - 07:05
If there is a warning, then you can color the row with another color to call attention
