How can I multiply the number of blank cells in a row by 5 using conditional formatting?

I need a conditional formatting with a formula between 2 dates. If A1 contains the date July 8, 2018 & A2 contains the value of A1-7 (date) - how do I apply this to a conditional format to have A2 turn red if true

i made a conditional formatting rule for one cell to change color if the value entered is the same as another cell. all cells where the origional cell is 0, the other cell has already changed color. how do I fix it?

I have data importing from a program, and I want to use the Conditional Formatting Tool to set up a rule to highlight any given values that do not fit the requirements. I was wondering if there's a way to set up an excel page that has these rules set up, so when the data is imported, it automatically will be highlighted if the rule is commanded. I only have been able to import data onto another sheet, and had to set the rules up after the data is imported.

For some reason i'm having a mind blank about how to extend conditional formatting rules further down the sheet. I have all the rules I need applied to the top cell, but now I need all the cells in column c to have the same rule, but corresponding to column b cells without retyping the rules for each individual cell. Hi, I am using Conditional Formatting in Excel. I am trying to compare text in one excel column to text in another column, but the text in the one of the columns is included within other text. So, for example, a cell in column A includes the phrase: "I use Excel everyday" and a cell in column B includes the phrase "use Excel". I am trying to figure out whether the phrase "use Excel" in column B appears in column A, even though it is included within other text. My entire spreadsheet is like this.
