I need a vlookup formula that will implement the use of cross reference. The user will input one of two data entries and the vlookup will return the respective values of the entry. Will provide more info. Please be knowledgeable on vlookup + cross sheet reference thanks!

This is the formula "=IF(ISNUMBER(VLOOKUP(RC[-1],NSW!C1,1,0)),NSW!R2C6,IF(ISNUMBER(VLOOKUP(RC[4],NSW!C2,1,0)),NSW!R2C7,""))"
Its working fine. I have the list of states with its local holidays, I need to add a condition to this formula, for EG if = "NSW" then it refers to NSW sheet and do the above function,
ROWS and Columns are same for all the states

Is there a way to write a formula in a cell (Vlookup) and and also be able to type into that cell later if you dont want to use the Vlookup value? Kind of like a hidden formula (vlookup)

I need to remove an apostrophe from a column of 15K serial numbers.. (some are alphanumeric). I used the =clean function and it works. Now I need to remove the formula from the cell. When I use copy/paste values the apostrophe comes back. Ultimately I need this column of serial numbers for a vlookup. The original vlookup value does not have the apostrophe so I am always getting 'false' as a result.

I need to make a Formula with Nested IFs, currently i have =IF(C12<=500,VLOOKUP(C6,'Table 1'!B5:G35,3,FALSE)*Calculator!C12+250,IF(C12>=501<=1000,VLOOKUP(C6,'Table 1'!B5:G35,4,FALSE)*Calculator!C12+250,IF(C12>1001,VLOOKUP(C6,'Table 1'!B5:G35,3,FALSE)*Calculator!C12+250)))
The part that isnt working is the C12>=501<=1000 and im not sure why!

Hi hope someone can help
I have an extensive price file spread sheet within which I have set up a visual basic formula so that if any changes occur a date & time stamp appears in a cell. I then also have a Vlookup in place so in another location is someone views a particular product the said date appears using the below formula which works fine unless a product with no amendments is selected its returning a default date 00/01/1900 00:00 where I would prefer a blank empty cell.
I realise there must be an IF statement to solve this but failing horribly to get it to work. Any help in the correct formula would be greatly appreciated.
=VLOOKUP(H4,$AO$1:$AP$99999,2,FALSE)
00/01/1900 00:00
many thanks in advance

Vlookup returns #N/A but everything in formula looks correct. Data being looked up is 'general'. Does that matter? I usually use numbers.
