I need a vlookup type formula to reference a column and row and return the value at that intersection. I need the formula to reference a given last name and match it to a column from colums D-O, then reference a given date and match it to a list of dates from row a10-a440. Then return the value or cell name at that intersection.

Why does my vlookup formula just appear in the cell where I enter it instead of NA or a number I'm trying to insert? It just shows the formula I put in from the wizard.

Switch to the worksheet “Internet user and pop. Table”. Use a VLOOKUP function in cell F2 so that it searches for the country in A2 (of current worksheet) that also appears within the “2016” worksheet and display its number of internet users. Expand the formula down to find the number of internet users for each country.

I have three steps I must do which involves me dealing with vlookups and no matter what I look up, I am still confused and can't get my formula to work. I need help please! step 1: Switch to the worksheet “Internet user and pop. Table”. Use a VLOOKUP function in cell F2 so that it searches for the country in A2 (of current worksheet) that also appears within the “2016” worksheet and display its number of internet users. Expand the formula down to find the number of internet users for each country. Step 2:In the cell G2, use a similar VLOOKUP function to display the population for that country. Expand the formula down to find the population for each country. Step 3:In cell J2, use a formula to calculate the % of the population that uses the internet. Use the same calculation for each country.

I've pasted E:F from an email data cleaning program. The results are valid/invalid/etc... I'm trying to create a clean list of only valid email addresses (F) but also looking up the matching values with that row in A:C. I did it in two steps and left off at H thinking a vlookup might be good for I:J. Maybe there's an easy vlookup formula or perhaps a better way to do it.

I have an excel that I am setting up as a tracker. It needs to be able to get multiple answers from multiple cells from different sheets. In the 'Stores' Sheet, I want each of the boxes in Hours worked to total from the MTD Numbers who's cells correspond with 465 Hours Worked for each category. The issue I have with my current formulas is that the total cells shift as employees are fired or hired, so I don't want to constantly have to check that the cells are set per store each time I copy the info in. I just don't know which formula or Vlookup to use to accomplish this.
