I found the following formula to find duplicates: =IF(COUNTIF($AA$2:$AA2;$AA2)>1; "Duplicate"; "") The problem is that I only need to highlight duplicates within the same company, which can be found in collumn C.

I need a formula to check a value in column C, and if that value is correct to do a countif in column H. I'm doing a tracker, so that column C contains the word "January" and column H has an "x" in it. I'd like the formula to count how many instances of that combination there are.

I am putting together a time sheet which needs to calculate the hours worked for engineers. I am fine with all the other formulas, but need one that removes hours worked outside normal working hours. So for example, anything past 4.30pm is classed as overtime, so therefore 13:00 to 17:00 is 4.5 hours normal and .5 overtime. The formula in for argument sake in cell A2 needs to remove anything past 4.30 and the overtime cell A3 needs to calculate anything past 4.30. I have fiddled around with countif formuals but these aren't working. Have you got any advice?

Im using a countif formula =COUNTIF(B$4:B$272,"Y") to be exact and it doesn't seem to be working properly... when i first had it in it worked fine it updated as it should, but as my log grew i tried to extend the range to incorporate the extended range and it reverted to 0 as the total and i cant seem to get it to function like it should now.. ( I have a column that that contains Y & N and i want to calculate the number of Y i have and a separate field to calculate the number of N )

9. Switch to the Employee Summary worksheet and calculate the totals in the table using the appropriate functions. HINT: Remember that sumif multiple criteria adds or totals cells only if they meet the specified criteria, and AVERAGEIF and COUNTIF perform their computations only when the data meets multiple criteria.
