I’m working on a project in which I need to have the rows (A to I) to be highlighted in specific color based on the text provided in the particular cell, if it is a single row/cell I’m able to do it thru conditional formatting but it is required it in multiple rows. For Eg. If Cell A1 has the text “Naren” and cell A2 has “B” then the row should be highlighted in Green and the same cells has the text of “Bas” and “C” then the row should be highlighted in red, point to note here is the text will be in multiple rows and in whatever rows/col (cell) it is updated the particular row should be highlighted with specified color.

I have created a Gantt chart. I have a category column I have added conditional formatting to, to control the color based on my key. I want the horizontal duration bars in my chart to match the color formatting of the category associated with each task duration, but I can't figure out how to do it. I'm thinking it'll be based on a conditional formatting in excel formula but i'm not finding what I need online.

I want to conditional format an entire worksheet, where if the value in a cell is greater than the value in B of that row, the cell is highlighted. However, per line, the value in B is VARIABLE. Example: if in B2, the value is 100, any values in row 2 higher than this will be highlighted. If in B3, the value is 200, any values in row 3 higher than 200 will be highlighted. Values less than 200 but over 100 should not be highlighted in row 3, as they should NOT be affected by the formatting copied down from row 2. Conditional formatting needs to understand the X variable for Greater Than in column B is changing PER ROW. I can make this work by clicking each row and applying formatting manually, however there are several thousand lines of data to format, and I need this to go quicker.
