I have a 9x9 matrix of cells (C2:K10). Some have numbers in the cells others do not and are empty. I want create a macro that will allow me to set the text format and size of text (or numbers) in those cells, and to pre-set the format of the empty cells to another style and size. I can then clearly identify where the original numbers were, and where the numbers that were subsequently added are placed. I have created to two text formats I want to use and have called them simply Large and Small in the Styles list. I have been trying to use macros to do this but have found that I need to create an “IF” function which I cannot do by recording key strokes. One needs to edit the macro code which is in VB and have not yet fathomed out how to use it. Please can you help

Ex_20 I have been provided with this code by another Support Person but when I try to run it as a macro in an Excel App using VBA code, it fails to recognise the active sheet range. When I start the macro another window opens entitled “GO TO” which seems to suggest to me that it does not recognise the 9x9 array of cells that the macro is supposed to be working on. I will copy to the screen the complete module when I submit this query. Below is a copy of my original problem. I have a 9x9 matrix of cells (C4:K12). I would like to conditional format cells in column A to have diferent colors according to the values from cells from column B, eg.: if B2 is containing the text "Finished" than A2 whatever I am writing in it to be Green if B3 is Not Started than A3 should be red. I think must be some if formula, or it should be solved in other way? Example attached. Thanks in advance for your help.

I want to conditionally format a string of cells in a column to fill grey if task completed (text = yes), fill orange if the date in another cell is less than 2 weeks from today, and fill red if the date is today or later.

Hello, I am looking to highlight the cells that have text in them to highlight as red between the 1st through the 15th of every month, and then be green the 16th through last day of the month whether it be the 30th, 31st, or even 28th (depends on the month). I attached a sheet in which I was testing by highlighting all of the cells with text (the 1 of 8, 2 of 4, etc.) then clicking "Conditional Formatting" > "Highlight Cells Rules" > and then either Greater Than or Less Than for both red and green using the following formulas for each month: Less Than (Red): 2017-08-15 2017-09-15 2017-10-15 2017-11-15 2017-12-15 Greater Than (Green): 2017-08-15 2017-09-15 2017-10-15 2017-11-15 2017-12-15 I am not sure what I am doing wrong but when I did the formula and chose the colors for August, it seemed to work fine, being today's date would be within the right date range for the cells to highlight as green. I then removed the August formulas and replaced them with September formulas, it did not seem to work.
