I have a large spreadsheet detailing tasks that need to be completed by different staff people, i.e., Server1, Server2, Bar1, etc. It also shows which day the task needs to be performed. The "All Items" tab details all the tasks. I have a 2nd tab titled "Tasks by Role" where I want to pull data from the first tab to show all the tasks on a day for a specific role, i.e., all tasks assigned to "Server1" on "Wednesday". In Excel, what formula can I use to assign and calculate total numerical values for three columns of words? For example, Column A is "yes" or "no". Column B is "small", "medium", or "large". Column C is "yes" or "no". For Column A, yes contains a value of 5 while "no" contains no value. For Column B, small contains a value of 20, medium is 40, and large is 50. For Column C, "yes" is 10 and no is 0. See attached picture for an example. Column D is where the result should calculate, combining the three columns numerical values. Thank you for your help!

I use a large spreadsheet with external links and formulas. I calculate manually (F9). When I open the spreadsheet it works well. The longer I have it open the slower it becomes until I have to close it and reopen, at which point it works well again for awhile. How can I speed up my calculations? is there a cache I can dump or something?
