Hi, I have a sheet which is using VLOOKUP to get data from a salary field linked by an ID number which is on another sheet associated with the salary The problem I have is that we have multiple entries (rows) which have the same ID field so we essentially only have one row which displays the salary linked to the ID number but the others don't fetch the salary. What I want to do is have a formula which is basically 'IF the ID number matches the ID number of the row with the salary field filled in THEN copy the same salary to the empty fields on the other rows. To visualize: ID | Salary (fetched by VLOOKUP from ID) 1 | £100 2 | £110 3 | £105 3 | 3 | 4 | £120 5 | £150 As above the VLOOKUP doesn't fetch if the ID is the same (as the other sheet has only one instance of the ID) So I was wondering how to get excel to display the right number (£105) in the blank spots Thanks in advance

I would like F17 to pull value from 'Tracker' sheet if G17 says "yes". If G17 says "Budgeted Cost" then I would like F17 to pull value from (=IFERROR(VLOOKUP(C17,'Unit Renovations'!$C$6:$E$11,2,FALSE),""))

Q20 has a date that does not exist. I would like the formula: "=IFERROR(VLOOKUP(B20,MRB!$D$3:$AP$300,38,FALSE),"")" to leave the cell blank if the date does not yet exist. And if G20 says yes, I would like the entire row from B to S to hard code the numbers, that way they do not change in the future. Or is that even possible? Thank you so much! I cannot believe that I have not used your service before! I have spent hours on this worksheet and you guys resolve errors within minutes! So fantastic!

I need help with a few formulas on a spreadsheet I'm working on. 1.) It seems like excel is counting the blank spaces in row F whenever the data drop tab is blank. Is there a way to set this to "0" instead? 2.) I believe I am trying to do a VLookup formula, but I'm not very familiar with it. I am trying to set it so the sheet will copy the employee's name to a separate list based on if they meet certain criteria.

I have a table that plots college courses (along y-axis) against possible General education requirements (along x-axis). I need to write one function that I can copy to all cells so that if the given course meets one or more requirements, it will put an X i the corresponding cell or cells. In another worksheet the information is plotted with the course listed as many times as it has requirements with one requirement written next to it. I would use vlookup, but since there are duplicate courses in the data table that lists what requirement each course meets, it does not work

Hello. I have been searching for a way to do this and don't even know the right questions to ask. I have always been able to figure things out without help, except Google, but this has me stumped. What I am trying to do is develop a plant database that will show all plants I will be installing for a client's project and what I'd like to do is have the details auto-populate based on the input of a selected plant. Things like harvest dates, fertilizer recommendations, annual or perennial, water requirements, etc. I'll attach some screen shots. I have spent 4 hours trying to figure this out. I've tried IF & VLOOKUP and I don't know what else to do. I can make a data sheet for each plant variety or a table but I can't figure it out at all. I know I don't expect anyone to do the work for me, but if you could just point me in the right direction, I'd sure appreciate it! Thanks.

Add a formula to cell G4 that creates a Report ID from the date and the ID number on the ListData worksheet of the person who made the report. The IF function will include a TEXT function and a nested IF function with a VLOOKUP function. The logical test will verify if cell G2 is greater than 0. The value if true will include the TEXT and VLOOKUP functions: TEXT(G2,"YYYYMMDD"),"")&" "&IF(G1>0,VLOOKUP(G1,ListData!B15:C19,2) The value if false will return blank.
