how can i find the right most cell containing data in non-consecutive columns based on a reference cell? For Instance, I have a unit number in column A, then i have dates in columns C, F, & I. I want to know the last column containing a date and have that date entered into column B. I have used the max function, however, this does not reference the unit number. I need it to reference the unit number so that my data does not get mixed up.

Hello, I have a large spreadsheet of hourly evening temperatures for multiple site (columns) for multiple date (rows). I need a spreadsheet with the max temp, min temp and the difference of max and min for each date (rows) and each site (columns). The new spreadsheet will have each site name in row 1(repeated three times to allow for min, max and difference in row 2). Each date in column A. and min, max and difference in row 2 repeated for each unique site.

I need a formula that can take a number (18) and know that it has to take the first 8 our of that 18 and multiply the straight time rate, the next 4 our of the 18 and multiply by overtime, and the next 6 out of that 18 and multiply by the double time rate.
The hours will not always be 18 hours but that is gonna be the max hours. Sometimes it might only be 8 hours or 12 hours. However, i need it to sum up the total hours (8,4,6) and know what rates to multiply them by.

I'm creating a calculated field called "Margin"
In the "Margin" calculated field, I want to:
Subtract "Costs" (column B) from "Revenue" (column A)
"Costs" (column A) has summarized values by MAX
When "Margin" calculates the totals, the figures are incorrect.
I believe Excel is fetching results from the DATASOURCE pertaining to "Revenue" (column A) and not the displayed MAX results.
Is there a way to write into the formula bar in the calculated field to explain that "Revenue" (column A) is a MAX field?

I have one column with several consecutive values separated by null. Those change position but there will always be some that are consecutive all the way down to one single value followed by nulls. I need to be able to calculate the max and min of each of the consecutive values in the column. its like clusters each with a max and min.

In pivot table I want to add;
Column G (To Be named "AVE_COSTS_TOTAL")
SUM of column B, column c, column D, MAX result of column E
Column H (To be named "AVE_MARGIN")
MAX of column F - Column G
Column I (To be named "AVE_MARGIN_%)
% difference of column F and column G (e.g = (Column H - Column G)/Column G*100%)
I have attempted to create calculated fields to produce the above, however the figures produced are inaccurate due to MAX columns.
I found that Excel performed sums with MAX columns as if they were SUMS columns.
I've had some technical support who advised that in order to create these columns within the pivot table, I would need "Power Pivot".
For an unknown reason I was unable to download this program and I also have a very short time frame to produce this document !!!!!
Please see "RAW DATA AVERAGES" tab for the pivot which I would like data added. The data in this pivot leverages from the "RAW DATA" tab.
You can also see that the pivot totals are incorrect. E.G Column B, Row 4. The column figure should be an average of all costs in that section. The total should be $898.96?
