I think I sort of got the gist of the time card calculator formula, I just cant seem to execute it myself. Im trying to make a time card for my employees using the Index and match feature it works but I cant seem to use it to find the clock out amount. It is the same formula as the clock in but the "{}" wont stick. Please help me execute this as I need to deduct the hours.

I have a workbook with three worksheets. On one worksheet is a list of data (data worksheet) with the top horizontal row listing security classes and the vertical left column a series of years (say from 1980 to 2016). On the second worksheet (rank) I have ranked the highest data value for each year (row). On a third worksheet (calculations worksheet) I have a series of rows (also from 1980 to 2016) with formulas in each row. Now, I want to use VBA code or macros to do the following: take the highest ranked security class for row 1980 from the rank worksheet, for that security class find 1981's data value (drop down one row (year) on the data worksheet) and put 1981's data value into the calculations worksheet into the row corresponding to 1981. Thus, I get a result from my formula for the year 1981. Then, I want to loop and find a result for 1982, etc. I have a beginner's knowledge of VBA and I would like to do this by running one sub routine.

Trying to find how many times a name appears in X number of rows, once found get the value for that name in the same row, then continue looking for that name and continue getting and adding all the values for a total sum of all the rows.

I'm looking to figure out how to see if a name exists in a row, if it does find a value in the same row, then continue to do that in other rows until I get a total value.

I have a workbook with multiple worksheets. On one worksheet is a list of data (data worksheet) with the top horizontal row listing security classes and the vertical left column a series of years (say from 1980 to 2016). On the second worksheet (rank77) I have ranked the highest data value for the year 1977 (row) and assigned the next year’s allocation per some predetermined logic. On a third worksheet (calculations78 worksheet) I have a series of rows corresponding to the classes of securities showing their assigned allocation percentages with formulas in each row. At the lower portion of the worksheet, I arrive at yearly return figure. Now, I want to use VBA code or macros to do this behind the scenes in one sub routine doing all of the years. The steps are the following: rank the returns in the first year, 1977, from the data worksheet, using my logic assign each an allocation, take that allocation to the Calculation worksheet for the next year and also find the returns for each Class for the next year, lastly, allow my formulas to calculate a yearly return. Finally, I carry the return to a Summary worksheet. Then, I want to loop and find a result for the next year. I have a beginner's knowledge of VBA.

Hi, I have a Project Activity Sheet and summary linked to it. The summary is showing the variances of plan at different stages of the project. I want to create a formula which can highlight -- 1. The Planned Date if the Date of planned activity has not crossed yet. Or 2. "Status not updated" if the planned date is crossed but the status is not yet updated. Or 3. The variance in number of days between planned and actual activity date. I am unable to find the solution as the format of the cell will also be linked to the value as one outcome will require date format, another will be required either number or general format. please help.
