I need to calculate two averages: the average of every second row starting from the 1st one (aka the average of every odd-th cell) and the average of every second row starting from the 2nd one (aka the average of every even-th cell). I need a way to set a default Excel template which will open when ever I open excel. I have a preference for Date format, column and row structure, reference column and freeze panes that I use in almost all sheets. Currently I have to reformat each time I open a new sheet or else re-open a saved version. In prior versions of excel I was able to change the base template. That is my question.

I need assistance setting up a time sheet formula where I can create a column of contiguous dates down the left hand side of the spread sheet. So I can copy a contiguous column of dates, rather than entering each date manually. I would only need to have work days in the list, ie Monday to Friday inc. with a couple of spare lines between each week.
