There are a number of funds under Company A.
How can I organise/summarise my data such that i do not have to enter company A repeatedly? What I'm doing now is:
[in the same column]
Company A
(indent)Fund I
(indent)Fund II
However this way it would be difficult for me to filter the company that I want to search.

I saw you have a question regarding how to sum a number based on another column
Excelchat Expert
16/10/2018 - 02:48

in sheet "VC Funds/VC Funds_1" they are the same and what I was saying in the description earlier
User
16/10/2018 - 02:49

Excelchat Expert
16/10/2018 - 02:49
ok
Excelchat Expert

You can something like this....
User
16/10/2018 - 02:50
However, if i am to put it in a way like "Data", that would mean I'd have enter the name of the company repeatedly
Excelchat Expert
16/10/2018 - 02:50
Yes
Excelchat Expert
16/10/2018 - 02:51
This is the only way to enter the data in excel and make the summation work easier in later steps
Excelchat Expert
16/10/2018 - 02:51
And there is the best way for you to enter the records
User
16/10/2018 - 02:51
so how can I summarise?
Excelchat Expert
16/10/2018 - 02:52
If your data is like data tab, then you can create pivot table to sum them
User
16/10/2018 - 02:52
yea i've created a pivot table
Excelchat Expert
16/10/2018 - 02:52
Ok

User

in "Dashboard" sheet
Excelchat Expert
16/10/2018 - 02:53
Well, this is the best way you can arrange the data
Excelchat Expert
16/10/2018 - 02:53
ok
User
16/10/2018 - 02:54

Excelchat Expert
16/10/2018 - 02:54
Yes
Excelchat Expert
16/10/2018 - 02:54
