Hello, I understand that you would like to check if a value exists, if it does then 0 else nothing, right?

Excelchat Expert 24/09/2018 - 05:20
May I know which cell should I be looking into?
User 24/09/2018 - 05:21
F6
Excelchat Expert 24/09/2018 - 05:21
Okay, may I know the logic of what you are trying to accomplish so I can translate it to words Excel understands.
User 24/09/2018 - 05:22
i want the actual sale
User 24/09/2018 - 05:22
to not calculate on f6 if there is no value
User 24/09/2018 - 05:23
if there is no value then var sale should be 0
Excelchat Expert 24/09/2018 - 05:23
And if there's a value, what is the formula to calculate it?
User 24/09/2018 - 05:24
deference between e6-d6
Excelchat Expert 24/09/2018 - 05:24
I see. I think I have a clear understanding of your requirement.
Excelchat Expert 24/09/2018 - 05:24
So if there's not value in E, then 0 else e-d.
User 24/09/2018 - 05:25
yes
Excelchat Expert 24/09/2018 - 05:25
Please paste this formula in F6:
Excelchat Expert 24/09/2018 - 05:25
=IF([@[ACTUAL SALES]]="",0,[@[ACTUAL SALES]]-[@TARGET])
User 24/09/2018 - 05:25

User 24/09/2018 - 05:25

User 24/09/2018 - 05:25

Excelchat Expert 24/09/2018 - 05:26
You are welcome! Glad to have helped. :)
Excelchat Expert 24/09/2018 - 05:26
So the function I used is called the IF() function.
Excelchat Expert 24/09/2018 - 05:26
Basically this allows you to have a condition and a return value depending on the result of the condition.
Excelchat Expert 24/09/2018 - 05:26
In this case, our condition is that E must not be empty.
Excelchat Expert 24/09/2018 - 05:27
=IF(condition, value if condition is true, value if condition is false)
Excelchat Expert 24/09/2018 - 05:27
