Excel - General Question on Pivot Table - Expert Solution

Question description:
This user has given permission to use the problem statement for this blog.

I have 4 columns of data, with each row showing one set of data. Then another 4 columns of the same type of data, but for the next month, then another 4 for the following month, etc. It is organized like this so it can be pulled into another sheet. However, I want to analyze this data for the whole year, with pivot tables (also charts, etc), but if I make a pivot table of this data, it makes the columns with the same title another group (month, month2, month3...). I am come the data from each month onto another sheet, so that it is all in just 4 columns. Could you help with this

hi
User 17/08/2018 - 12:36
Did you get my problem statement?
Excelchat Expert 17/08/2018 - 12:37
i can see your building the sheet 1 can you explain with example
Excelchat Expert 17/08/2018 - 12:38
is each of the Date Month Amount Description repeating for each month?
User 17/08/2018 - 12:38
yes
Excelchat Expert 17/08/2018 - 12:39
in jane why is the date 8/12/2018
Excelchat Expert 17/08/2018 - 12:41
ok now you want to compare jan amount and description with feb amount and desc and so on
User 17/08/2018 - 12:41
So I would like in sheet 2, the data for each month in sheet 1 in a single list
Excelchat Expert 17/08/2018 - 12:41
meaning 1 below other?
User 17/08/2018 - 12:41
Yes
Excelchat Expert 17/08/2018 - 12:41
1 min
User 17/08/2018 - 12:42
So if this were the full set of data, sheet2 would read the first row for jan, put it in row 2 of sheet2, put row 3 in row 3 of sheet2, then when it gets to the end of january, put the first entry for february in row 4 of sheet 2
User 17/08/2018 - 12:43
Then it would go through february, and when there are no more entries for february, march, and so one
User 17/08/2018 - 12:43
So that Sheet2 is one continuous list with all of the entries for each month
Excelchat Expert 17/08/2018 - 12:44
ok give me a min
User 17/08/2018 - 12:44

Excelchat Expert 17/08/2018 - 01:12

User 17/08/2018 - 01:12
