Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:36
if you want you can send them as attachment

User 15/08/2018 - 07:36

Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:36
okok!
User 15/08/2018 - 07:37
thanks won't be long
User 15/08/2018 - 07:37
sorry
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:37
it's ok, don't worry
User 15/08/2018 - 07:38
sheet 1
User 15/08/2018 - 07:39
is it sending you the file?
[Uploaded an Excel file]
User 15/08/2018 - 07:39

Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:39
yes
User 15/08/2018 - 07:39
i want to highlight all the numbers from file 2 column 1 that appear in the first file in column 1
User 15/08/2018 - 07:40
give me just a sec for the second one
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:40
okok
User 15/08/2018 - 07:42
[Uploaded an Excel file]
User 15/08/2018 - 07:42
there you go =)
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:42
on the first file that you send me
User 15/08/2018 - 07:42
yes
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:42
which sheet would it be? sheet 2?
User 15/08/2018 - 07:43
its actually from the second file
User 15/08/2018 - 07:43
but i can merge them on one if you want and resend it
User 15/08/2018 - 07:43
sorry i didnt think youd actually do i i thought you would just explain how to do it
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:43
i can do both
User 15/08/2018 - 07:43
SHEET 1
User 15/08/2018 - 07:43
sheet 2 was a test i was trying
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:43
for example
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:44
what i would do for this is
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:44
on the file that you want it to be marked
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:44
(file 2) right?
User 15/08/2018 - 07:45
let me merge them it will be a lot easier
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:45
okok
User 15/08/2018 - 07:46
[Uploaded an Excel file]
User 15/08/2018 - 07:46
youll notice on this file stuff is red in sheet 2 .. probably from my failed formula
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:47
ok, i'm dowloading it
User 15/08/2018 - 07:47
so i want to highlight in sheet 1 column 1 the values from column 1 in sheet 2 that appear in column 1 sheet 1
User 15/08/2018 - 07:47
do we just have 6 minutes left?
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:48
yes, but you can extend it
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:48
it will allow you to extend when timer hits 5-
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:49
ok, i'm working on it
User 15/08/2018 - 07:49
thanks
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:49
does it allow you to extend?
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:49
time*
User 15/08/2018 - 07:49
nope
User 15/08/2018 - 07:50
and i presume to extend i have to pay
User 15/08/2018 - 07:50
i dont have access to the company card
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:50
oh ok
User 15/08/2018 - 07:50
so we have 4 minutes lol
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:50
basically
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:50
what i would recommend you to do is this
User 15/08/2018 - 07:51
it allowed me to extend
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:51
perfect! time was extended!
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:51
i was a bit nervous haha
User 15/08/2018 - 07:51
hehe
User 15/08/2018 - 07:51
so was i
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:52
first i would do this, a vlookup on the final columns
User 15/08/2018 - 07:52
ok
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:52
then i would add a condittion formating for column b
User 15/08/2018 - 07:52
why on the final columns
User 15/08/2018 - 07:53
the only column i want is column A
User 15/08/2018 - 07:53
1
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:53
where i would do, while value on the e column is different than #N/A color them on yellow
User 15/08/2018 - 07:53
i want to know which clients on sheet2 appear on sheet 2 and highlight them in sheet 1
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:54
ok, let me do it on the file
User 15/08/2018 - 07:54
sorry i graduated 10 years ago
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:54
then i'll explain you what i did once i send it back to you
User 15/08/2018 - 07:54
lol
User 15/08/2018 - 07:54
ok
User 15/08/2018 - 07:54
thank you very much
User 15/08/2018 - 07:54
i do want to understand
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:55
i will search it by card# right?
User 15/08/2018 - 07:55
yeah exactly
User 15/08/2018 - 07:55
all by card number
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:55
which is what column in sheet 1?
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:55
VIP # ?
User 15/08/2018 - 07:56
Card / in sheet 2 or VIP in 1
User 15/08/2018 - 07:56
so column 2 sorry
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:56
ok, and you want me to mark it on sheet 1, correct?
User 15/08/2018 - 07:56
yes
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:56
ok
User 15/08/2018 - 07:56
highlight on sheet 1 the customers that appear in sheet 2
User 15/08/2018 - 07:56
by card number
User 15/08/2018 - 07:57
as u can notice i wanted to do an IF formula which is why i created the true or falso column
Excelchat Expert 15/08/2018 - 07:58

User 15/08/2018 - 07:59

Vlookup
