Hello, I understand that you need to get the sum of whatever month you choose to January, right?

Yes, if I have a row of dates, e.g Jan - Dec. with corresponding values in the row below. Once I select June, all the values fron January to June are summed up.
Excelchat Expert 13/08/2018 - 05:18
Yes, that's what you posted as the description. Are you able to share a sample data that we can work on?
Excelchat Expert 13/08/2018 - 05:19
I'm asking because this highly depends on how you have your data setup.
User 13/08/2018 - 05:19
Can I type it in the spreadsheet on this screen?
Excelchat Expert 13/08/2018 - 05:19
Yes please.
Excelchat Expert 13/08/2018 - 05:20
Can the dates on top be for the first of the month?
User 13/08/2018 - 05:21
That's the way the data appears...
User 13/08/2018 - 05:21
Yes, ofcourse
Excelchat Expert 13/08/2018 - 05:21
Can you confirm if the dates on top of be 1/1/2018 instead of 1/18/2018?
Excelchat Expert 13/08/2018 - 05:21
Because that would make things a lot simpler.
User 13/08/2018 - 05:22
The dates are 1/1/2018
User 13/08/2018 - 05:23

PLease give me a few minutes.
Excelchat Expert 13/08/2018 - 05:24
The formula is in B5. A5 is where you can type which month to end the sum.
Excelchat Expert 13/08/2018 - 05:24
For instance, if you type 6/1 in A5, this will sum Jan to Jun
Excelchat Expert 13/08/2018 - 05:24
If you type 12/1 in A5, then it will sum Jan to Dec
