hi!
Excelchat Expert 13/08/2018 - 07:06
I have referred the requirement. You want to change the format of the cell?
User 13/08/2018 - 07:06
yes
Excelchat Expert 13/08/2018 - 07:06
After 162, is it comma or decimal?
User 13/08/2018 - 07:07
i have other number formatted as for example if i write down 162 it will be 162,000
User 13/08/2018 - 07:07
i wanted if i write down 162,5 (with either comma or decimal) it will change to 162,500
Excelchat Expert 13/08/2018 - 07:07
Please refer the B1 cell.
User 13/08/2018 - 07:07
without changing the other format
Excelchat Expert 13/08/2018 - 07:08
Without changing the format?
User 13/08/2018 - 07:08
yep
Excelchat Expert 13/08/2018 - 07:08
You want it to be with formula?
User 13/08/2018 - 07:08
for example i had this
User 13/08/2018 - 07:09
with this custom format
User 13/08/2018 - 07:09
##,###",000"
User 13/08/2018 - 07:09
so if i continue down
User 13/08/2018 - 07:09
and i write 162,5
User 13/08/2018 - 07:09
it will be 162,500
Excelchat Expert 13/08/2018 - 07:10
Please check in the formula in E1 cell.
User 13/08/2018 - 07:11
how to write the custom numbering in the format instead?
Excelchat Expert 13/08/2018 - 07:11
=TEXT(D1,"#,###.000")
Excelchat Expert 13/08/2018 - 07:12
You can use text function, if you want to usethe formula. Else, you have to change cell formatting using custom format.
User 13/08/2018 - 07:12
i mean in the format>number>more format>custom number format
Excelchat Expert 13/08/2018 - 07:12
Yes. You can enter the format as shown in double quotes
Excelchat Expert 13/08/2018 - 07:13
I did it in B1 cell.
Excelchat Expert 13/08/2018 - 07:13
But, you are looking for formula?
User 13/08/2018 - 07:13

Excelchat Expert 13/08/2018 - 07:13
