so the birthday dates are in the bio data

Okay, I can see a column in there that shows the date of the birthday and also a column that says Happy Birthday if the date today is the same as the date in the Birthday column.

Okay, in the Dashboard you will see the same Yellow bar you had.

That bar will light up Happy Birthday if there is at least one person celebrating their birthday today.

The formulas used are array formulas so they need to be confirmed by using CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER instead of just ENTER. You'll know that you've done it correct if the formula gets automatically enclosed in { }
