Excel - COLUMN Function Problem - Expert Solution

Question description:
This user has given permission to use the problem statement for this blog.

For some reason all of the column identifiers (a,b,c,etc.) are green but only rows 1-12 are and when I go to organize the sheet the green rows are the only ones organized.... ( by way of filter header) I removed all formatting on the sheet but it didn't seem to make any difference. There is a thin green line between rows 12 and 13 that I cannot move or get rid of.

Okay, I see. Basically, you need help with a table you're working with that has filters and cell formats on. Will it be okay if you can share the file you're working on so we could better grasp the situation? Thanks!
User 03/08/2018 - 04:44
It has confidential contact info on it...
Excelchat Expert 03/08/2018 - 04:45
Oh I see. Hmmm. How about if you can clear the cells with confidential info on it. I just wish to see how the data set is structured so that I can provide more specific instructions once I've analyzed it. :)
Excelchat Expert 03/08/2018 - 04:51
Okay, it seems you've entered some sample data on the document preview. I do have some clarifications by the way. Are you working on Google sheets or Excel? :)
User 03/08/2018 - 04:51
google sheets
Excelchat Expert 03/08/2018 - 04:52
Noted on that. It seems the filter in your original file is then not configured properly. Let me provide specific steps to remedy this concern.
Excelchat Expert 03/08/2018 - 04:52
1. click on any cell in your data set.
Excelchat Expert 03/08/2018 - 04:52
