Excelchat Expert 03/08/2018 - 10:33
and if possible share the sheet or build a sampel data for me o nthe right
User 03/08/2018 - 10:33
Ok
User 03/08/2018 - 10:35
So if a1 was £100 and I want to use yes of no to get a running balance
User 03/08/2018 - 10:35
so if b2 says yes c1 would equal 0.00
User 03/08/2018 - 10:36
if b1 equal no would equal a1
Excelchat Expert 03/08/2018 - 10:36
=if(B1="Yes",0,A1)
Excelchat Expert 03/08/2018 - 10:36
this is the formula I have used
Excelchat Expert 03/08/2018 - 10:37
so If B1 = Yes, then show 0 otherwise A1
User 03/08/2018 - 10:37
that's fantastic
Excelchat Expert 03/08/2018 - 10:37
now to eliminate the other 0 which is coming even when there is no data in Column A
Excelchat Expert 03/08/2018 - 10:37
I will add another function to it.
Excelchat Expert 03/08/2018 - 10:38
so now the formula is modified to
Excelchat Expert 03/08/2018 - 10:38
=if(A1="","",if(B1="Yes",0,A1))
Excelchat Expert 03/08/2018 - 10:39
so now if A1 = "" means blank, it will show blank, other otherwise it will execute our old formula.
User 03/08/2018 - 10:40
I see now that's amazing
