Hello

I've read your post. If I understand it correctly, you want cell S36 to return 1 if cell A10 is equal to cell S7 and cell C10 has a value. Is this correct? :)

Yes that is correct.
User

It can be be cells in a closer range if that helps but yes that is correct.

Okay nice! Just to clarify, what should cell S36 return if the conditions are not met? Should it just be blank?
User

1 if all conditions are met, 0 if they are not.

Okay, noted on that. In cell S36, please enter the following formula:

=IF(AND(A10=S7,C10>0),1,0)

Please ping me up if the formula works correctly. Thanks!

That worked. I have one more variation of the problem if it is possible.

Okay i see. I can help with that since it's related to our earlier problem. :)

Can we do the same thing but make the conditions, if (A10=S7 and C10=YES) or (A10=S7 And d10=Any Value)
Excelchat Expert

Yes, we can do that. Let me revise our earlier formula to integrate your new conditions.
User

So is it possible to combine the equation you gave me with a or statement where A10=S7 and C10=YES?
Excelchat Expert
21/07/2018 - 03:33
That is correct. :)
Excelchat Expert
21/07/2018 - 03:33
And you're right in making use of the OR statement to include your new conditions. :)
Excelchat Expert

Please see below the revised formula:
Excelchat Expert
21/07/2018 - 03:34
=IF(OR(AND(A10=S7,C10="YES"),AND(A10=S7,D10<>"")),1,0)
Excelchat Expert

So as you have mentioned, we included an OR statement that encompasses our two AND functions. So if any of the AND statements return a TRUE logic, the formula will return a 1. Otherwise, it will be 0. :)

Awesome that worked perfectly.
