hi
Excelchat Expert 19/07/2018 - 07:23
I think you need a conditional formate
Excelchat Expert 19/07/2018 - 07:23
format*
User 19/07/2018 - 07:24
possibly, i've made a rule to highlights the box with name but i cant tell it to select different boxes
Excelchat Expert 19/07/2018 - 07:25
Just change the applied range.
Excelchat Expert 19/07/2018 - 07:25
Can I see the sheet you working with.
User 19/07/2018 - 07:25
=$A$2:$A$36="Name", Format $D$2:$H$2
Excelchat Expert 19/07/2018 - 07:25
Or you can fill a sample at the preview.
User 19/07/2018 - 07:26
i dont see rules
Excelchat Expert 19/07/2018 - 07:27
What rules ??
User 19/07/2018 - 07:27
conditional formatting
User 19/07/2018 - 07:27
new rule
User 19/07/2018 - 07:29
i'm not sure why other boxes are going red
Excelchat Expert 19/07/2018 - 07:29
I put a conditional format for the other boxes
Excelchat Expert 19/07/2018 - 07:30
As you described your problem, you need the boxes at D to H to turn red if A contain Name. Right ??
User 19/07/2018 - 07:31
yes
Excelchat Expert 19/07/2018 - 07:31
I make the conditional format for the cells D to H
User 19/07/2018 - 07:32
ok
Excelchat Expert 19/07/2018 - 07:32
Got it ??
User 19/07/2018 - 07:32
where are you setting that condition
Excelchat Expert 19/07/2018 - 07:33
select the columns D to H and right click then conditional format
User 19/07/2018 - 07:34
ok
User 19/07/2018 - 07:35
ok
User 19/07/2018 - 07:35
i see
Excelchat Expert 19/07/2018 - 07:35
Use custom formula =$A2="name"
User 19/07/2018 - 07:37
funny mac excel dosnt allow that
Excelchat Expert 19/07/2018 - 07:39
Suppose it do that
User 19/07/2018 - 07:39
it dosnt give a apply to range
User 19/07/2018 - 07:42
i got it >.<
User 19/07/2018 - 07:42
=$D$2:$H$2=XFA2="Name"
User 19/07/2018 - 07:43
so complicated...
User 19/07/2018 - 07:43
lol >.<
User 19/07/2018 - 07:43
=$D$2:$H$2=(A2="Name")
Excelchat Expert 19/07/2018 - 07:43
Does it work?
User 19/07/2018 - 07:43
yes ty
User 19/07/2018 - 07:46
the last step is to make the rule apply to different things if the value is meet
User 19/07/2018 - 07:47
A2=Name hightlight b2-d2
User 19/07/2018 - 07:47
A2=pet highlight b2-c2
User 19/07/2018 - 07:47
ect but as a rule not as a row function
Excelchat Expert 19/07/2018 - 07:48
So you need to add two roles.
User 19/07/2018 - 07:48
but a2-a36 is name highlight the reflective voes
User 19/07/2018 - 07:48
