My understanding is that you want to convert week numbers to month, is that correct? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

to a text for the month 1-4 in column would be "jan" ... 5-9 would be "feb" and so on

Excelchat Expert

Just like that?
User
06/07/2018 - 05:11
yes .. and I have weeks up to 52 so need the @ if to have 12 conditions
Excelchat Expert

I'm finding it hard to understand what do you mean by "@", but I do understand that you need to get the months name from a given week number.
User

=IF(L2<5,"JAN")+or IF(L2>=5, "feb")

I believe I got the problem. We would need 12 nested IF formulas for 12 months.
User
06/07/2018 - 05:14
yes .. and i need equal or greater within the next IF
Excelchat Expert
06/07/2018 - 05:15
Yeah, I understand. That would be a very long and confusing formula. There is a better alternative. I can do both.
Excelchat Expert
06/07/2018 - 05:15
Would you like to see the alternative one or I should go with the IF?
