So I want to have column C in sheet 2 say Debra

Please check the result in Sheet 2
Excelchat Expert 27/06/2018 - 12:33
Column C.. Is it fine?
User 27/06/2018 - 12:33
My vlookup is returning a ref error
Excelchat Expert 27/06/2018 - 12:34
#Ref error means you have selected only two columns in the vlookup function but you are expecting 3rd column result
Excelchat Expert 27/06/2018 - 12:35
Table array : A: B only two column If i give 3 give Ref error
User 27/06/2018 - 12:36
=VLOOKUP(A2,Sheet2!$A$2:$B$88,Sheet2!$B$2:$B$88,TRUE)
Excelchat Expert 27/06/2018 - 12:36
Yes.... First two is correct
Excelchat Expert 27/06/2018 - 12:36
Sheet2!$B$2:$B$88
User 27/06/2018 - 12:36
So this is wrong? I'm telling it to look at the specific range
Excelchat Expert 27/06/2018 - 12:36
Please change this "2"
Excelchat Expert 27/06/2018 - 12:37
Yes....Vlookup (A2, Specific Range, Col_index number,0)
User 27/06/2018 - 12:37
I see! That worked. I didn't understand that it had to be a column ref only
User 27/06/2018 - 12:38
Thanks!
Excelchat Expert 27/06/2018 - 12:38
Yes.. It should be column Ref number
