Excelchat Expert 15/06/2018 - 12:19
I see from your problem description. You want to have the percentage of the entries which are equal to 100%, is that right?
User 15/06/2018 - 12:20
I have a column of percentages and I would like to have a single Percentage at the bottom of the column that tells me the percentage of cells that equal 100%
Excelchat Expert 15/06/2018 - 12:20
Can you show me your data so we'll have something to work at
Excelchat Expert 15/06/2018 - 12:22
Okay. Based from your data in Column B, you have 4 100% out of 7.
User 15/06/2018 - 12:22
yes
Excelchat Expert 15/06/2018 - 12:22
But in percentage format right?
User 15/06/2018 - 12:23
yes
Excelchat Expert 15/06/2018 - 12:23
Like that in C8. 4 out of 7 which is 57%
Excelchat Expert 15/06/2018 - 12:23
Okay. Let me check on it.
Excelchat Expert 15/06/2018 - 12:24

User 15/06/2018 - 12:26
give me on sec.
Excelchat Expert 15/06/2018 - 12:26
I used the COUNTIF and COUNT function. Let me explain more about it so next time you'll be able to use it yourself.
User 15/06/2018 - 12:28
That will work - Much Thank you!
Excelchat Expert 15/06/2018 - 12:28
COUNTIF is used to count the number of entries (as in your problem) with certain criteria. 2 parameters are involved in here. 1st is the range of the entries ($B$2:$B$7), and 2nd is the criteria which is 100%.
Excelchat Expert 15/06/2018 - 12:28
Sure thing. Do you want me to explain further?
User 15/06/2018 - 12:29
All Ears
Excelchat Expert 15/06/2018 - 12:29
Okay. The COUNTIF already gives you the number of entries matching the criteria which is 4.
Excelchat Expert 15/06/2018 - 12:30
Next function is COUNT which only counts the numerical entries in the range; therefore, gives the result of 7.
Excelchat Expert 15/06/2018 - 12:31
I'm glad I was able to help you.
Excelchat Expert 15/06/2018 - 12:31
Did you understand now the COUNTIF and COUNT functions?
User 15/06/2018 - 12:32
