so I have this file which has 15000 rows and quite many columns and there will be data added to it monthly
User
07/06/2018 - 07:50
and I need to create a bubble chart for some of the columns
User
07/06/2018 - 07:50
but I need to create the chart in such a way that I do not have to recreate it every month
User
07/06/2018 - 07:50
but it will be updated as data updates
User
07/06/2018 - 07:50
and I seem to not be able to do that with a pivot table
Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 07:50
hmm
Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 07:50
so you have a pivot table already
User
07/06/2018 - 07:51
yes
Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 07:51

Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 07:55
Hello you there
User
07/06/2018 - 07:55
yes it s just bubble
User
07/06/2018 - 07:55
no other type
Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 07:56
hmm then you have 3 options
User
07/06/2018 - 07:56
tell me
Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 07:56
1:You only need the values from the pivot table, ake a copy of the pivot table, but paste only the values. Now you can make a bubble chart.

Make a copy of the pivot table, but paste only the values. Now you can make a bubble chart.
Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 07:56
but this means you would have to do the copy paste regularly
Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 07:57
2: The pivot table values may change, but the dimension would stay the same.
make a copy of the pivot table, but put in each cell a reference to the corresponding cell (e.g. =E15 ) in the original pivot table. Now you can make a bubble chart.
Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 07:58
In this way you can keep the dynamic data
Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 07:58
or you must choose pivot charts instead if you are ok with it..
User
07/06/2018 - 07:59
how can i mace a copy of the pivot with only the values and refering to cells
User
07/06/2018 - 07:59
like E15 that u mentioned
Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 08:00
so if you pivot table is from a2-e5 for example
Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 08:00
create a new sheet
Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 08:01
In the new sheet in cell A2 type ='Pivot'!A2
Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 08:01
where Pivot is the name of the sheet
Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 08:01
similarly A3='Pivot'!A3
Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 08:01
and so on..
Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 08:02
then it would just be a table and you would be allowed to create the bubble chart
User
07/06/2018 - 08:02
name of the sheet we just created?
Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 08:02
Could be anything..
Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 08:02
Pivot is the name of the sheet where you have pivot table
Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 08:04
See sheet 2 A2 is equal to Sheet1 A2
Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 08:04
can you see
User
07/06/2018 - 08:06
kind of
User
07/06/2018 - 08:06
let me try
Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 08:07
sure.. this is the only work around..excel prevents bubble chart on pivot tables right
User
07/06/2018 - 08:07
yeah
Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 08:08
after doing the 1st cell just drag it it will fill the rest..
Excelchat Expert
07/06/2018 - 08:08
does this help you?
User
07/06/2018 - 08:10
thanks will try
User
07/06/2018 - 08:10
