So in cell C2, which is the adjacent cell to the first date in column B (10/22/14) - you enter the formula =DATEDIF(B2,TODAY(),"Y")

The DATEDIF function is composed of three parts - 1) Start Date = B2, 2) End Date = TODAY(), 3) units = "Y" or in years
