I need to Auto Fill the same value into 6 cells multiple times. My issue comes up during the auto fill. Rather than receiving A2(six times), A3(six times), A4(six times), A5(six times)... as a reference point, I'm getting A2 (six times), but its immediately screwing up if I try to auto fill after that.

Good Afternoon. What problems are you having with AutoFill?

Are you trying to autofill the same things each time?

The finl six in that column should output #3, but I get #1 from A13 instead.

So you're trying to repeat the same six items down multiple times?
User

Correct

Like #1 six times, #2 six times, etc.?

Yes, its more complex later on, but that is the gist.

Ok, autofill will not understand what you're trying to do. If you do six 1s and six 2s it will just repeat that sequence. What is the end result that you are looking for?

And, do you need to do this one time or do you need to repeat this task?

The ability to have 100+ numbers at the top of the spreadsheet that I can allocate 6 rows to each number

Ok, I think I understand now. Hang on and let me try something in my spreadsheet and see if I can come up with a quick answer.

The left is my issue, the right is the correct numbers.

I can't see a way that autofill can handle this. It can be done programmatically using a short VBA routine. It could also be done using a formula, but that would take some real thought on how to write the formula.

Yeah, I had a bad feeling about that. Ok, thank you for the help.

A little, but I'll figure another way to format it.
