No, I can't do that; simple questions I think - Conditional formatting of a large table; when column E reads "complete" I want column C to be formatted in a specfic way
User 22/05/2018 - 09:28
There's a formula but I can't figure it out
Excelchat Expert 22/05/2018 - 09:29
Ok highlight column C
Excelchat Expert 22/05/2018 - 09:29
But I need to know where the first cell of data is
Excelchat Expert 22/05/2018 - 09:29
let me give you an example
User 22/05/2018 - 09:30
I'm following so far
Excelchat Expert 22/05/2018 - 09:30
first select the data from C2 to C9
Excelchat Expert 22/05/2018 - 09:30
just like that where the first cell selected is C2 for example
Excelchat Expert 22/05/2018 - 09:30
then click on conditional formatting then new rule
Excelchat Expert 22/05/2018 - 09:31
select the last option, where you use a formula to formate
Excelchat Expert 22/05/2018 - 09:31
format*
Excelchat Expert 22/05/2018 - 09:31
in the formula bar enter =$E2="Complete" then click format
User 22/05/2018 - 09:31
yes
Excelchat Expert 22/05/2018 - 09:31
I used $E2 because the first cell selected in the highlighted range in is row 2
User 22/05/2018 - 09:32
