Question description:
This user has given permission to use the problem statement for this
blog.
I need a formula written into cells to identify patterns and then count specific data. The pattern data that first needs to be identified is spread across column B through I. The formula should first recognize the pattern within these cells. THEN according to the search criteria, the formula should match one of three values and produce a value of either (1) or -(7). The Sheets labeled 'SHOOPEE PATTERNS ONE ROW' and 'SHOOPEE KEY' are the active worksheets within the file attached that need the formulas pertaining to this project.

We're actually limited to providing non-VBA solutions, and thus, VBA is outside our scope. However, we could look at how the concern can be addressed if there's a non-VBA way to do it.

I'm a bit confused on this part: "THEN according to the search criteria, the formula should match one of three values and produce a value of either (1) or -(7)." If there's a pattern matching the criteria, what are the three values we're looking at here, and when does (1) or -(7) be displayed.

Oh I see. I would really wish to help on this one, as I see it interesting to do. However, we really needed the three values with which we could match the formula on, and on what conditions will trigger a display of (1) or -(7). Is there any alternative to this or anything? :)

If someone initially worked with the Excel file, it would be best if that person can be contacted for information regarding this query. Or if there are turnover documents, maybe it's recorded in there our lacking information. :)
