User 03/05/2018 - 02:57
I want when I choose not started for the percentage to correlate without me having to choose it
User 03/05/2018 - 02:57
Is that possible?
Excelchat Expert 03/05/2018 - 02:57
Ok.
Excelchat Expert 03/05/2018 - 02:57
There are 3 %.
Excelchat Expert 03/05/2018 - 02:58
I can use index formula. Can we list it in the form of table?
Excelchat Expert 03/05/2018 - 02:59
=VLOOKUP(A1,D:E,2,false)
Excelchat Expert 03/05/2018 - 02:59
Vlookup formula will provide the percentage based on the text selected.
User 03/05/2018 - 02:59
Yes that is what I want
Excelchat Expert 03/05/2018 - 02:59
Great.

Have wonderful day and leave a valuable feedback after ending session.
User 03/05/2018 - 03:00
But if it is in a drop down how do I make it realise what one I choose
Excelchat Expert 03/05/2018 - 03:01
It checks the column D and based on the the selection.
Excelchat Expert 03/05/2018 - 03:01
=VLOOKUP(A1,D:E,2,false)
Excelchat Expert 03/05/2018 - 03:01
A1 is the item you choose.
Excelchat Expert 03/05/2018 - 03:01
It searches in column D
Excelchat Expert 03/05/2018 - 03:01
And result it from column E.
User 03/05/2018 - 03:03
I am still confused...
User 03/05/2018 - 03:03
I don't want to have the table on the right, just the drop down
User 03/05/2018 - 03:04
Its okay I will figure it out.
Excelchat Expert 03/05/2018 - 03:04
There is a dropdown in A1 cell.
Excelchat Expert 03/05/2018 - 03:04
Based on the selection, it changes in column B.
Excelchat Expert 03/05/2018 - 03:04
I have preferred table, because, you can change the values easily when needed.
Excelchat Expert 03/05/2018 - 03:05
Instead of including them in the formula.
User 03/05/2018 - 03:05
I don't get it. It's not a problem.
User 03/05/2018 - 03:05
But thank you.
Excelchat Expert 03/05/2018 - 03:05
=VLOOKUP(A1,D:E,2,false)
Excelchat Expert 03/05/2018 - 03:06
Can you see the changes in B1 cell, when there is a change in A1.
User 03/05/2018 - 03:06
I don't want the D and E columns though.
Excelchat Expert 03/05/2018 - 03:06
OK.
Excelchat Expert 03/05/2018 - 03:06
Then, i can write formula.
User 03/05/2018 - 03:06
Okay
Excelchat Expert 03/05/2018 - 03:07
=if(A1="Not Started",0%,if(A1="In Progress",50%,100%))
User 03/05/2018 - 03:08
Okay I got it :)
User 03/05/2018 - 03:08
That is what I am looking for.
Excelchat Expert 03/05/2018 - 03:08
Thank you.
Excelchat Expert 03/05/2018 - 03:08
