Hi there!

Hi
Excelchat Expert 23/04/2018 - 02:07
I was wondering if I might be able to see the file you're working with - or even the line of text that you're trying to copy?
User 23/04/2018 - 02:08

User 23/04/2018 - 02:08
it is putting it into 4 separate columns and don't want to use flash fill. My colleagues is doing the same and her system is ok.
Excelchat Expert 23/04/2018 - 02:08
And this text - you're trying to paste it into one single cell?
User 23/04/2018 - 02:08
Yes
Excelchat Expert 23/04/2018 - 02:09
Oh weird that it's working for your colleague!
User 23/04/2018 - 02:09
and for you it would appear
Excelchat Expert 23/04/2018 - 02:09
That is very odd.
Excelchat Expert 23/04/2018 - 02:09
Are you perhaps able to share your actual Excel file?
Excelchat Expert 23/04/2018 - 02:10
A test I was just thinking of as well would be to open a blank Excel file and try and copy/paste into a cell and see if it works
Excelchat Expert 23/04/2018 - 02:10
Then we know it's something in the sheet itself (setting or something)
User 23/04/2018 - 02:10
done that, to no avail :-(
User 23/04/2018 - 02:10
it has worked earlier, but now it seems to have changed.
Excelchat Expert 23/04/2018 - 02:10
Are you able to share the file? Or is it confidential?
Excelchat Expert 23/04/2018 - 02:11
So odd!
User 23/04/2018 - 02:11
it is confi
Excelchat Expert 23/04/2018 - 02:11
so you did the test to a new sheet and it's still copying to 4 cells?
User 23/04/2018 - 02:11
yes it did
Excelchat Expert 23/04/2018 - 02:12
Strange. Ok let me look into this real quick - one sec!
