F7 I7 J7 K7 L7
Total Stock (Used A) (Used B) (Used C) (Used D)

1-5
Excelchat Expert
23/04/2018 - 01:16
why the cells are merged?
User
23/04/2018 - 01:17
I don't know
Excelchat Expert
23/04/2018 - 01:18
so in F7 you hae 500
Excelchat Expert
23/04/2018 - 01:19
And later on in I7...J7...K7...you will have some values?
User
23/04/2018 - 01:20
Yes. I would like the amount in cells I7 - K7 to be deducted off the number in cell F7
Excelchat Expert
23/04/2018 - 01:20
but conditional format cannot do so....what we will need is another helper row
Excelchat Expert
23/04/2018 - 01:21
which will do the work
User
23/04/2018 - 01:22
can you show me what you mean please?
Excelchat Expert
23/04/2018 - 01:22
so what you enter in B2...D2 you will have to enter suppose one row below
Excelchat Expert
23/04/2018 - 01:24
ok?
User
23/04/2018 - 01:24
I don't understand how that is supposed to work the value in cell A2 is still the same which is the cell I need to show the decreased value
Excelchat Expert
23/04/2018 - 01:25
Oh
Excelchat Expert
23/04/2018 - 01:26
So if there is value in B2--D2...you need A2 to be duducted from them
Excelchat Expert
23/04/2018 - 01:26
now check
Excelchat Expert
23/04/2018 - 01:27
A3 is the input
Excelchat Expert
23/04/2018 - 01:28
ok?
User
23/04/2018 - 01:28
so if I change the value of the cells in B2 - D2 it will decuct from A2?
Excelchat Expert
23/04/2018 - 01:29
Basically you will not touch A2 anymore now....First give the input in A3....and yes later on if you change B2...C2....A2 will change
User

if I were to 'hide' row 3, would it still work?

23/04/2018 - 01:30
yes
Excelchat Expert
23/04/2018 - 01:30

Excelchat Expert
23/04/2018 - 01:30
