Question description:
This user has given permission to use the problem statement for this
blog.
when ever I open excel either a blank workbook or an existing one the save as window keeps popping up even if I don't select save and if I press save or cancel the window just pops open again I can't do anything in excel and the only way I can close Excel is through Task manager.

You will just need the product key which is long string of numbers which should have come with your purchase and you can key that in when it prompts while reinstalling.
