Question description:
This user has given permission to use the problem statement for this
blog.
I used the formula =COUNTIF for cells to define adding the number of cells that have numbers totaling 0 or above. However, When I try using it in another set of columns it is not doing what I need it to. Now, the column that is not working has both colored cells and formula'd numbers within the cells. I dont understand what I am doing wrong, please help!

could it have anything to do with the fact that the cells I am pulling the information from to create my formula are color coded and have formula'd information in the cells themselves?

so lets say D5 is colored "red" because it has a positive number..... but it also has a formula to make it the number 8 in the cell

its weird... the functions argument shows the right number of cells that need to be added that are less than 0 but when I hit enter it doesnt show up in the cell
