Question description:
This user has given permission to use the problem statement for this
blog.
I am trying to build a currency converter into a spreadsheet.
I have 2 cells with drop down menus (GBP, USD, EUR) and need a formula along the lines of IF B6=USD AND D6=GBP, D8 (my results cell) should equal B8 (the value to be converted) divided by P3 (a cell containing the conversion rate)

It's only a simple tool so I don't have to pick up a calculator and do the same sums every 5 minutes but it would make my life 100,000,000000% easier :D

The exchange rates I need to 4 decimal places but I can see the cells are custom format
