is there anything wrong with my formula?
Excelchat Expert
28/03/2018 - 05:20
i've fixed the formula..
Excelchat Expert
28/03/2018 - 05:21
the array for the index should refer to the location where the data is being extracted..
User
28/03/2018 - 05:22
i copied the formulat to I4 cell
User
28/03/2018 - 05:22
however it is not working
Excelchat Expert
28/03/2018 - 05:27
we need to interchange the match patterns...
User
28/03/2018 - 05:27
what do you mean by that?
Excelchat Expert
28/03/2018 - 05:27
as 2018M01 - M12.. keeps increasing on the row..
Excelchat Expert
28/03/2018 - 05:28
hence the result of that should be used for the row input in INDEX formula..
Excelchat Expert
28/03/2018 - 05:28
i have extended the formula for rest.. and the result seems to be fine
User
28/03/2018 - 05:28
sorry, i don't quite get it. Can you show me which part of the formula you make the change?
Excelchat Expert
28/03/2018 - 05:30
you have two match formula.. one is for months.. and other is for names..
Excelchat Expert
28/03/2018 - 05:31
in your index formula.. you had array, then first output from name and the next output from month
Excelchat Expert
28/03/2018 - 05:32
since the output from month increases the row #.. i interchanged your formula .. to get the required result..
User
