Excelchat Expert 15/03/2018 - 08:54
HI welcome. Can I ask what the end result you are looking for
Excelchat Expert 15/03/2018 - 08:55
You are looking to use a drop down to change another cell correct?
User 15/03/2018 - 08:55
once a option is chosen in a drop down box it will pick the requested cell info then put it into another cell aling with the sum of the final cell
User 15/03/2018 - 08:55
correct
Excelchat Expert 15/03/2018 - 08:56
What options are you wanting to put in the drop down list?
User 15/03/2018 - 08:56
i have made the drop down already it works good
User 15/03/2018 - 08:56
simple one
Excelchat Expert 15/03/2018 - 08:57
Ok so once you click on the drop down list, you want that to go into another cell?
Excelchat Expert 15/03/2018 - 08:57
like this?
User 15/03/2018 - 08:57
see sheet
Excelchat Expert 15/03/2018 - 08:57
Yes I see it
Excelchat Expert 15/03/2018 - 08:59
So I see those are the drop down options you are wanting?
User 15/03/2018 - 09:00
what you think?
Excelchat Expert 15/03/2018 - 09:00
I am lost what you are trying to accomplish
Excelchat Expert 15/03/2018 - 09:00
You have the drop down list that has the items test, subtotal, tax, and total?
User 15/03/2018 - 09:01
the drop down is the GL codes
User 15/03/2018 - 09:01
then it matches with the GL summary area liek sales call
Excelchat Expert 15/03/2018 - 09:02
Ok so you basically want to do a sum function once you change the selection?
User 15/03/2018 - 09:02
hmm yes
Excelchat Expert 15/03/2018 - 09:03
I guess I need to see what you are trying to accomplish, I am still lost at what you are trying to accomplish
User 15/03/2018 - 09:04
look at the sheet
Excelchat Expert 15/03/2018 - 09:04
Oh sorry I could not see the whole thing
User 15/03/2018 - 09:04

User 15/03/2018 - 09:04

Excelchat Expert 15/03/2018 - 09:04
A lot sorry
Excelchat Expert 15/03/2018 - 09:04
It didnt load for a while
User 15/03/2018 - 09:06

Excelchat Expert 15/03/2018 - 09:06
Can you tell me which cell has the dropdown
User 15/03/2018 - 09:06
E
User 15/03/2018 - 09:07
colum E has all the drop down options
User 15/03/2018 - 09:07
5358 5368 5375 2510
Excelchat Expert 15/03/2018 - 09:08
So you select 5358 from the dropdown and it puts the subtotal where
User 15/03/2018 - 09:08
in c 17
User 15/03/2018 - 09:09
your are on the right path
Excelchat Expert 15/03/2018 - 09:10
Ok so what I did is once you select 5358 or 5368, it sums the total. Is that what you were looking to do? Sorry that I was missing the rest of the file
User 15/03/2018 - 09:10
yes
User 15/03/2018 - 09:11
i need the totals in c17 to c20
Excelchat Expert 15/03/2018 - 09:12
I did that with the sumif function
User 15/03/2018 - 09:12
the totals should be the subtotals in b colum
Excelchat Expert 15/03/2018 - 09:12
I am going to run an example to show you how it works
User 15/03/2018 - 09:12
