Thanks. I do understand the first question. but I need your explanation on the 2nd. Would you please explain it a bit more?
User 02/03/2018 - 08:51
So if cell A is set up as a range so that cell B automatically enters the answer from the equation listed. I am entering a number of miles in one cell and that number dictates the price
User 02/03/2018 - 08:51
Miles multiplied by .15 cents gives me the haul rate
Excelchat Expert 02/03/2018 - 08:52
Okay, do you think you can picture it in the preview sheet? that would be a massive help.
User 02/03/2018 - 08:54
if B6 is a number ranging from 0 to 9 then C6 will automatically fill with $2.90
Excelchat Expert 02/03/2018 - 08:54
okay, and what are other ranges?
User 02/03/2018 - 08:55
If B6 is 27 then C6 then it will populate with the answer from 26*.15=C6
Excelchat Expert 02/03/2018 - 08:56
So, basically everything greater than 9 is that value multiplied by .15, right?
User 02/03/2018 - 08:56
yes
Excelchat Expert 02/03/2018 - 08:56
Thanks. I need a couple of minutes to write the formula.
Excelchat Expert 02/03/2018 - 08:58
=IF(AND(B6<>"",B6>9),B6*0.15,2.9) this is the appropriate formula.
Excelchat Expert 02/03/2018 - 08:58
Please input numbers in B9 to check and let me know.
