User 05/02/2018 - 08:08
so for example.... i would like to know if the number "1" is shown on sheet 2 in that column....if it is, type "yes" in the empty cell next to "1" on sheet 1

User 05/02/2018 - 08:16
are you there?
Excelchat Expert 05/02/2018 - 08:16
yes
User 05/02/2018 - 08:16
do you have an idea what I can do?
Excelchat Expert 05/02/2018 - 08:17
=IFERROR(IF(LOOKUP(Sheet2!A2,Sheet1!$A:$A)=A2,"YES",""),"")
Excelchat Expert 05/02/2018 - 08:17
copy this formula
Excelchat Expert 05/02/2018 - 08:17
and paste in cell b2 on second sheet
Excelchat Expert 05/02/2018 - 08:17
and then drag it to the end of your sheet
User 05/02/2018 - 08:18
so in this case.... you are looking back to sheet 1...
Excelchat Expert 05/02/2018 - 08:19
yes it looks back in column 1 of sheet 1, and if data exists there, it gives yes in column B
User 05/02/2018 - 08:20
ok i will try this...
User 05/02/2018 - 08:20
