This user has given permission to use the problem statement for this
blog.
I have a list of email addresses in row A1. I would like to create a unqiue ID for each unique row in column B1 using excel either with formula

Maybe its best to copy the emails to another sheet. make them unique, add a unique id manually to each email, then use vlookup to get the unique ids from sheet2 to sheet1?
